Trick or Treat? - Remember when Todd McFarlane (creator of Spawn) was challenged to do more work by Robert Kirkman (creator of Invincible and The Walking Dead) and fanboys and fangirls every orgasmed with joy? Well, their project has finally been announced and it's a bit.... underwhelming.

Haunt was announced by Image Comics as this project and while there wasn't any information given just a teaser image, the character looks like the bastard child of Spider-Man and Spawn. except for Kirkman's Marvel work, I'm not really a fan of either's work but I am disappointed in this (source).

HAIL S.H.I.E.L.D.!!! - Marvel revealed in Secret Warriors #1 that the fictional terrorist group Hydra has been backing the most-of-the-time good guys taskforce S.H.I.E.L.D. since it started.

This is definitely a "wait until we get the full story" development as that idea's been done before and series writer Jonathan Hickman's a good enough writer to make it work. Plus, this is fuckin' comics where everyone seems to die and return...

Speaking of Hickman, I picked up the trade for Transhuman and it was damn good. Anyways, back to the news...

"The Name's Jordan. Hal Jordan." - According to Variety, Casino Royale director Martin Campbell is talking to Warner Bros. about directing a movie based on the DC superhero Green Lantern. Works for me.

Also, there's mention of a Jonah Hex movie with Josh Brolin as Hex in the article. That's awesome. ImageQuick Hits Time, You Filthly Landlubbers!!! -
G'Nort Gets Animated - On CBR's main page, there's two clips of the next Batman: The Brave & The Bold episode featuring the Green Lantern Corps including the always awesome Gnort Esplanade G'neeshmacher. WOO!!!
Preview of "Whatever Happened to the Caped Crusader?" - Looks good but after the mess that was Batman R.I.P., I'll wait until I read some spoilers and reviews online. Go here to check it out for yourself.
The Return of Bart Allen - In this week's issue of Legion of Three Worlds #3, Bart Allen as Kid Flash made his return. I'm disappointed in this if DC is going to go with a version that ain't Impulse, they should've gone with the older Bart Allen.
