DCnU Shocker: Gail off Firestorm, Joe Harris taking over.

The Fury of Firestorm will be switching creative teams starting with issue #7.

DC's Source Blog has confirmed the long-rumored departure of Gail Simone from the Fury of Firestorm creative team. She will be replaced by Joe Harris (The Ghost Projekt) starting with issue #7.

The Outhouse expects a revival of "DC hates women" editorials because of Simone's departure and looks forward to all the clever article titles that incorporate "fire" in them.

Meanwhile, Outhouse poster e_galston confirms that "[t]his really was the worst kept secret of the reboot..."

Doesn't look so old to me, certainly about the same age or younger than Simone.

He apparently wrote the Scarecrow issue of the Joker's Asylum thing a couple years back.

That was pretty good, if I remember correctly.

At least he's not another 90's Marvel guy. :smt102

I still have no real interest in this book.

That was a good one shot. But then it had some freaky art to go with it.

Yeah, I don't know how much was the writing and how much was the art. Or how well someone doing a creepy Scarecrow story translates to writing a character that should have a totally different tone. :smt102
