Years ago, director Kathryn Bigelow, before she became all famous for directhing The Hurt Locker, had an idea for a movie that would dramatize the then-still-unseccessful hunt for Osama bin Laden. That project got shelved, but when the terrorist mastermind got ganked and "Seal Team 6" entered everybody's vocabulary, someone in Hollywood figured it would be a good time to give a now Oscar-decorated Bigelow a call and say "hey, remember that Osama bin Laden movie we all thought was so great?"
That interest has lead to this December's Zero Dark Thirty, a narrative film that promises to bring the steps that led to bin Laden's death to dramatic life. A teaser trailer has been released, viewable below. Not much to see, here, other than a lot of maps with lines on them, as well as some shouting, but the premise alone is enough to hook people.
