Image Comics Combats Fiscal Cliff with Three Second Printings

Blackacre #1, I Love Trouble #1, and Great Pacific #2 will all receive second printings, all part of Image Comics plan to save the country from a second Great Depression.

Source: Press Release

If Democrats and Republicans in Washington don't settle the differences in their budget plans by January 1, the United States of America could be facing an economic disaster that could send the country spiraling into depression. Democrats believe that a bloated federal government should raise taxes on hardworking job creators to fund socialist entitlement programs, while Republicans believe that very rich white people should be given even more money so that they can use it to oppress non-white people and less rich white people, for their own good. Though there is some common ground between the parties, in that both have equally terrible ideas, it seems increasingly likely that they will not be able to make a deal a pass a budget, dooming America to fall right off the fiscal cliff and into another Great Depression.

But Image Comics has another plan.

The popular publisher of critically acclaimed creator owned comic books announced not one, not two, but three sell-outs yesterday in Blackacre #1, I Love Trouble #1, and Great Pacific #2. Just what are these comics about? Here's what Image had to say in their press release:

BLACKACRE, by Duffy Boudreau and Wendell Cavalcanti, is a dystopian science fiction series. It came out of the gate strong, with recommendations from comics luminaries Jonathan Hickman, Ed Brubaker, and Matt Fraction.

Kel Symon's and Mark Robinson's I LOVE TROUBLE is a fun and introspective take on super powers.

GREAT PACIFIC, a hit with retailers, readers, and reviewers alike, is the story of a privileged young man who decides to make a difference in the world — by proclaiming the Great Pacific Garbage Patch a sovereign nation! GREAT PACIFIC #2, in addition to selling out early, has a coveted Phantom Variant cover that will be sold in limited quantities in select stores.

Not only have all three comics sold out, providing a much needed economic boost in the private sector, but Image has generously agreed to go back to press for second printings of all three books. The books will be in stores on January 9, which will be just in time to save America from financial disaster if the government fails to come to an agreement on the budget by January 1.

The Outhouse thanks you, Image Comics, for putting America, and Americans, first, and proving that American exceptionalism is alive and by reviving the stagnant economy on the back of the mighty comic book industry.
