Image Continues to Troll Marvel with Adjective Teasers

Image has released a teaser with the words Quite Savage, making fun of Marvel's Marvel NOW! teasers.

Source: Strange Press Release

Image sent out this teaser today, showing the words "Quite Savage" along with the words "writer" and "artist," an obvious mockery of Marvel's teasers that have run for the past several months teasing new titles with only the names of the creators and one or two adjectives. This reporter isn't quite sure what the purpose of this one is. It doesn't name creators, and doesn't name the book, so there's not much for fans to get excited about, though we can make a reasonable guess that it's something related to Image's long running comic by Erik Larsen, Savage Dragon. A quick glance at CBR and Bleeding Cool shows that they didn't even post it, indicating that they couldn't be bothered with trying to decipher this silliness.

The teaser does replace the Marvel Now logo with the phrase "yup, we went there," indicating that they are well aware that their teaser is an irreverent and biting insult directed at Marvel's teasers. We expect this war to escalate, with Marvel releasing a teaser tomorrow titled "Come At Us, Bro," and Image following up with a teaser saying "We're Right Here, Bro," and so on and so on. In any case, make of it what you will:

The next one should have a Gail Simone lookalike lying in bed with a dead bass, and say "Straight Gangsta".

Its Skullkickers.

I honestly hope Zub can pull this off for every one of these next 15 issues.

'Yup we went there' for the 50th time

Kind of a waste when Images marketing is obviously handled by snarky hipsters. especially given how good Skullkickers actually is.
