Marvel has released a new, risque teaser.

Marvel's marketing department has sunk to a new low, having released a teaser with two letters on it.  This teaser has the letters "XX" on it.  This of course is interesting as that's one X away from "XXX", which is either a popular porn designation, the name of a Vin Diesel movie, or a turkey in bowling.

Now, we don't know if new series is a Milo Minara inspired sex romp and junior intern Vlad Kozinkerkov, Marvel's chief teaser manufacturer, simply forgot an X.  However, the presence of "Wood" on the top of the teasers lends a bit credence to the theory, as is the obviously misspelled phrase "Cop a feel".  Vlad, just because you're not getting paid for your work doesn't mean that you shouldn't be bothered to spell correctly.  Don't be like Rich Johnston, Vlad.

There are other rumors that it could be a new series featuring the X-Women, writen by Brian Wood, with art by Oliver Copiel.  However, as any whiny manchild fanboy will tell you, series featuring women protagonists are immediate failures in the market and should be whined about.

It's obvious to me that this book will be titled "Double X" and it will be a raunchy book featuring the adventures of Adam X, Stacy X, and the NFL Superpro as they criss-cross the country, fighting amongst themselves, and learning a little bit about each other along the way. It will be cancelled by issue 2.

It used to be, in the olden days of dirty movie theaters and then VHS porn, that the number of x's on the cover (or the marquee) meant how hardcore it would be. Some theaters could show an x but not a xx or xxx.
