Snakes on a Plane director David R. Ellis passes away at age 60.

IMBb has reported the passing of David R. Ellis, best known as the director of the infamous 2006 cult classic Snakes on a Plane. He was 60 years old.

Ellis also diected the 2004 Jason Statham film Cellular, and two entries in the Final Destination film series (Final Destination 2 (2003), and The Final Destination (2009)). His most recent film, Shark Night, was released in 2011.
