Robert Kirkman to Blame for Revolving Showrunner Door on AMC's 'The Walking Dead'?

Characters aren't the only ones in danger in AMC's 'The Walking Dead' as the latest showrunner: Glen Mazzara fired.

Source: THR

Despite one of the best seasons to date, AMC has parted ways with showrunner Glen Mazzara, but insiders are reporting that writer (of The Walking Dead comic) and show producer Robert Kirkman, not content with destroying the lives of fictional characters, may be to blame with the firing.  By some insiders, Kirkman has been labeled "very proprietary" and wanting "to maintain a certain amount of control" over the show based on his hit comic book series.

Kurt Sutter from Sons of Anarchy, who worked with Mazzara on The Shield previously, though he has never worked on The Walking Dead, attacked AMC for not giving showrunners the freedom they get from most cable networks.  He recently tweeted that Kirkman "is an amazing visual artist and a graphic artist [but] knows very little about TV, and the reins keep going back to him in this process, and he doesn't know how to run a show."  Kirkman responded with this tweet: "@sutterink is brilliant and Sons is my favorite show on TV. Still, it's upsetting to see him ranting about things he knows nothing about."

Other sources close the show have said that Mazzara's shortcomings running the show were very clear and production was shut down several times due to lack of material, especially for the second half of the season that fans still eagerly await.  Kirkman had responded in December when the news first broke by thanking Glen for his hard work and said he was "looking forward to working with him as we complete post production on Season 3."

Cue, TheBass for an Outhouse editorial on Robert Kirkman.

Actually, considering that AMC are notoriously difficult to work with (which I can attest to as a Mad Men, and Rubicon fan, and my brother watches that other overrated piece of shit Breaking Bad), I'd hardly put all the blame on a no name comic book writer for the departure of a tv producer, but yeah, fuck Kirkman.

You have to understand, I dont give a shit about the TV show. Once they hired this guy
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=B7u6bMBlCXw to play Rick Grimes, I lost all interest.

Andrew Lincoln is a fantastic actor and a very, very good guy. Figures TheBass would diss him.

As Grimes, he's hilariously, and frankly, embarassingly miscast

I refused to watch the Hobbit after they cast the failed porn stand-in from Love Actually as Bilbo Baggins.

But he knows full well how difficult AMC are to work for, as he watches up to two of their shows. He's basically an expert.

I was wondering the same thing. I mean, to not like it is one thing (I've never met a single person who has actually watched the show that doesn't like it) but to be so adamant and colorful in your description about your dislike of it is a little bit alarming.

When the source of the dislike is The Bass there should be nothing alarming about it.
