Peter Dinklage Cast in X-Men: First Class - Days of Future Past; The Outhouse Refuses to Typecast

The Outhouse refuses to guess what role the character has been cast in.

Source: Twitter

Bryan Singer tweeted that Peter Dinklage, best known as Tyrion Lannister in Game of Thrones, has joined the cast of X-Men: First Class: Days of Future Past.  While Singer declined to mention what role the character had been cast in, most websites quickly began to typecast the actor, who was born with a form of dwarfism.  Entertainment Weekly, Comicbook.com, ComingSoon.net and Yahoo Movies, among others, all speculated that Dinklage would be playing Puck, a dwarfish Canadian superhero.

However, we here at the Outhouse refuse to typecast Dinklage, an Emmy Award winning actor, and believe that he'd excel at any role he'd be put in.  So we'll guess that Dinklage will be playing Cyclops, a character who received next to no screen time in past X-Men films, and could really use an actor of Dinklage's caliber to rehabilitate him in the eyes of the casual X-fan.

I'm guessing he's going to play Rachel Summers.

Days of Future Past is the storyline which gave us Rachel Summers.

This movie is coming from Fox, who also wants to replicate their own version of the Marvel Movie Universe.

They own the rights to another franchise, too, don't they? Yes they do. One they are trying to reboot.

Who was Rachel Summers' partner in the future? That's right.

Peter Dinklage is Franklin Richards.
