The company decided the branding wasn't worth the f***ing trouble.

DC announced over the weekend that it would no longer feature its controversial "WTF Certified" branding on its April comics. "Fuck that WTF shit," DC head honcho Dan Didio is reported to have said to someone somewhere. "We made our motherfuckin' point, so back the fuck off."

The WTF branding had been generally met with derision and mockery from every source imaginable and was widely proclaimed to be the dumbest move "since letting Devin Grayson write Nightwing".

In a related story, DC announced that it was letting go of Samuel L. Jackson, their recently hired Director of Fucking Branding. Jackson had spearheaded the WTF brand and is said to have ignored the many concerns about the initative from higher-ups. "Branding, motherfucker," Jackson was often heard yelling into the phone at detractors. "Do you speak it?"

In a memo circulated around the DC offices, Warner Bros. chief Kevin Tsujihara ordered co-publishers Didio and Jim Lee to "Get that motherfuckin' Jackson out of that motherfuckin' marketing department." Didio and Lee were all too willing to comply.

In a final bit of WTF related news, comic book satire site The Outhouse announced today that if had officially recycled all of its "fuck" related jokes, with the exception of The Wire inspired quote comprised solely of variations of the curse word. "Fuck fuck fuck. Fuckity, fucking fuck fuck. Fuuuuuuuuuck," said Outhouse reporter Jude Terror, completing the joke cycle.
