A decent enough issue, Not much action other than what we see in the preview above but a good setup for this arc. And we also learn that Manta speaks Portuguese. Huh.

Plenty of interaction between Orm and Arthur which is almost creepy because it's so civil and polite  It may be just lip-service from Orm but he does seem genuine in his words and actions. Their conversation also ties nicely to the flash-back we see in the beginning of this issue featuring Arthur and Orm's great-grandfather.

We also get a confirmation that there is another hidden player who was actually the one that hired Black Manta to find the Atlantean relics. This person uses the Dead King's scepter to free the Trench creatures that Arthur buried several issues ago. I bet it's this person that ignites the war between Atlantis and the surface world.

Pete Woods and Pere Perez do a nice job with the art so it's not as jarring to those of us spoiled by Ivan Reis' beautiful work
