Alternate Universe stories are great, but a little bit too easy.

The Other Side
Incredible Hulk #82 (the issue by Lee and PAD)
Watchmen
The Killing Joke
New Frontier
Hulk: The End or Future Imperfect
Born Again or Redemption or Means and Ends (the Lapham story that I'm apparently the only fan of)
Knightfall (Batman getting broke by Bane is still the most awesome thing ever)

Then the last two spots would go to:

the issue of Preacher that shows Jesse's Dad in Vietnam or the Saint of Killers mini
either X-Aminations or X-Factor #100 (the death of Multiple Man)
either For the Man Who Has Everything or What Ever Happened to the Man of Tomorrow.
the Governor in The Walking Dead (if it has to be broken down further, it would be his return arc)
Astro City either Confessions or the arc about the lion
Under Siege
Simonson's intro of Beta Ray Bill
the last arc of Y (saddest thing ever)
Armor Wars
Tumor
Death of Superman

And probably a couple of things I'm forgetting right this moment.

The last couple spots will be hard to nail down, but the top 7 or so is pretty locked in as I'm going to mostly try to limit to one arc per character/book, except Hulk because Hulk is awesome.

I loved the original Earth X, but each mini that followed kinda lost it for more and more.

It was too Alex Ross for my tastes by the last one.

I have to admit Ross, when held in check, puts together great stories. He'd probably make my list a good 4 times (shame on me for not discoving Marvels sooner). But a little too much Ross goes a long way.

Dini's Slayride (Detective Comics #826) was probably my favorite comic book issue. In a monthly, anyway, I've probably read better in trade/HC.

In fact, I think I voted for Dini's 'Tec run. Worthy of making the list, guys?

Obviously the choice is between Uncanny's The Draco and JL:Rise of Arsenal.

I'd say no, there are better Batman stories.

Inhumans is my #1 for sure.

That's a great issue and would get consideration from me.

I don't think Dini's run was eligible. Not enough consecutive issues, not long enough either I don't think.

I think it was long enough but was notorious for random fillers. It did drop in quality by the time Nguyen got on board. Preferred Kramer. Doesn't matter though, I was the only who had it on the list.

Yeah there was a rule about too many fill ins and breaks in the run. The crossover Ra's story and fill ins I think would have made it ineligible.

When he was actually doing the writing it was really good.
