They timed this to come out to come out on a week that Marvel should be strutting around showing off their X-Men movie too. That makes me smile a little.
Honestly, if they do this right, it could be a great thing for the industry. I was just talking to someone this weekend who loves Green Lantern but can't really follow the comics due to the heavy continuity involved.

Someone just hit the nail on the head.
They decided they COULD bring back the Silver Age in one felt swoop.

Bow the fuck down.

There's a JLA book with second stringers, Three GL titles (two of whom are are adjuncts to the one that matters), One Superman book that sucks as soon as Superman was back in the title, another one that has him "walking across America", a WW title that's going nowhere fast, and the Batman titles are making Batman completely non-unique. This is completely the opposite of almost all but perfect.
I don't cae about JLA book. Superman was the only thing I enjoyed and I am so not reading the rest of this Doomslayer shit. The Batman books where perfect. Everything was perfect save for Daniel's Batman.
I can't help it if I enjoyed Cornell's Action Comics until the latest issue and Snyder's Tec and Gates.

I guess that's the only good thing we get out of this. A possible competent comic book Darkseid again.

yep, and if any character was created in the 90s i can't see them being around.. mainly cause they seem to be de-aging most of the big characters.. so i can't see any of the current teen titans being around. or Damien, or Stephanie.

Yeah, that'll show Marvel! Those two paragraphs in USA Today are really going to put a dent in the XM:FC box office numbers this weekend.

Also from BC:
In Superman #1, launching in September, we will see what appears to be a new uniform for Superman. Based on the usual style, but more segmented with scores, seams or raised lines running across and around his arms, legs and torso. Kneepads as part of a segmented bulky boot. And a belt that reflects the Superman shield shape. And involvement in some form by George Perez. I’m also told Rags Morales may be involved with Action Comics #1.
And moreover, I’m also told Superman appears younger than we’ve seen him of late, almost Superboyish. Ultimate Superman?
UPDATE: The image given to USA Today seems to confirm some of this. A rejuvenated Justice League? Certainly an early twenties look. No boot or buckle though, see if I can fix that.
