yeah this was actually the first time I watched the show while writing it. My internet went down last night, so i didn't do what i normally do for the reviews. Usually i watch it when it airs, and do the recap/review from memory of what happened. Because i didn't do that last night, i rewatched the show again today and did the recap at the same time.

I just want to know if I should or should not watch it. Personally, as an English teacher and DVD reviewer, I'm a fan of giving your opinion throughout the review as it will keep me, the reader, more interested.

One thing you did that I like (but you could have teased a bit as a shocker of an ending) was you didn't spoil what happened with Shelby and....... (no spoilers!) :wink:

thanks, obviously i do these for fun, and its not something i've been trained to do, so any suggestions are welcome.

No worries... I apologize if I seemed harsh.

I actually teach my high school students how to review a movie... we compare/contrast movies, we look for deeper meanings and we sometimes just watch a bad movie to eviscerate it! LOL

My suggestions, as I said before, is more opinion. When you write a review you also should NOT use "I think..." because I, as the reader, already know it's what you think because you are writing the review! Don't waste the time and space typing it.

When you say something like the songs were good, explain why. For example the "It's not easy being green" song fit because the kid is Irish AND new to the school and the song is all about being different (both new and foreign).

When talking about the songs discuss if there's a good mix (not enough for the girls... too much Rachel... too many ballads etc.) and if the song was well done. Maybe even compare it a bit (if you're familiar with it or willing to youtube the song) with the original.

See my initial comments too for furthering explanations.

Also, not every episode is perfect... be sure to point out some flaws too!

God I love Brittney S Pears. Her and her leprechaun were hilarious and a kermit song is always hilarious.

I love Rory! he seems like he'll be a great addition to the cast.

I'm interested to see where this whole Puck/Quinn/Beth thing goes. I have several family members who have adopted babies and the birth mothers are supposed to get counseling to not do what Quinn is doing. It would be a legal smack down. But the Shelby/Puck kiss at the end...I felt like I knew it was going to happen and I was still like OMG! I kind of thought she would slap him. If it goes much farther the show is going to spiral into that "student and teacher sleeping together" feel, and that seems icky and weird. Even if he's 18.

Looking forward to the next episode.

don't see the trouble tones last next year either, since the only member who will be still there is brittany (that is if they do flunk her) Santana and Mercedes are seniors. And i don't see Sugar lasting past this season.
