I love this book, so it sucks that it's ending.

If it's down to low sales, then it's our fault.

Well, not mine, but any fans who didn't buy it.

It's not my fault if I didn't like it enough to buy it monthly--the art was spectacular, but the story kinda dumb. I ain't the Twilight generation.

I buy it in trade. One of my favorite Vertigo books.

But I think it's been under the 10,000 mark.. around 8,000, IIRC.

But Sweet Tooth is even lower, and that seems to be safe. So who knows. Maybe it was always going to end? Or maybe the trade sales weren't enough to support it.

There's nothing Twilight-y about it at all. :|

It's a fun book.

This doesn't bode well for Vertigo.

Oh okay cool, so you just revealed that you didn't read the book at all then. Because there was nothing twilight like about this book. :smt011

It's a good book, but it has been kind of dragging lately.

I was just messing around comparing it to Twilight to see who would take offense. It's just a boring book, though.

I bought the first issue and wasn't wowed by it enough to buy the next.

I can see how it could have been either way.

Yeah, the sales are low, very low, and that may be the end reason. However, looking at the story itself, the Xitalu situation looks to be coming to a head very shortly, and that's been the focus of this series just about since issue #1. I can see how it could simply be coming to it's natural end as well. I've been wondering recently whether or not the series was going to be ending soon for this very reason.

When the book focused Gwen, Ellie & Scott and their quirky lives (and vampire paintball kind of fun), I loved it and couldn't get enough.

But then it got complicated with over/under soul explanations and mysterious old/young dude who knows everything about Gwen but reveals nothing, etc etc etc. It just got bogged down on itself. :-(

Sucks for the fans, but the book dragged way too long for me and I dropped it a while back
