So Marvel has a five year plan that includes a new animated Avengers tv show in 2013. Wait don't they already have a show currently airing called the Avengers: Earth's Mightiest Heroes? Yuh-oh...

In the article by Forbes this little nugget was mentioned for Marvel's five year plan:

To that end, Marvel is introducing digital initiatives, new print and comic book titles, and The Avengers animated TV series on the in 2013.

Keep in mind this continues to further make the so called rumor stated before and that Avengers: Earth's Mightiest Heroes still hasn't been officially confirmed to be renewed for a third season.

What annoys me is the cancelling of the very good Wolverine and the X-men when they obviously didn't have a show to follow it. WHy not let it go a season or two more while you work on a replacement.

And cancelling it while teasing the Age of Apocalypse? FOR SHAME!!!

Has there been any mention of them doing any more animated movies? They had a string of really good ones for a while there, but then they suddenly stopped.

I thought there were hints that one of the secret animated projects for theatrical release may be a Marvel character. No official word yet.
