CW released the first clip from their upcoming show Arrow, which retells the tale of Green Arrow with hip, young, untalented actors. Mind you, Green Arrow was already mediocrely portrayed by Justin Hartley on Smallville, but who's keeping track? Smallville was so 2003.
Anyways, here's the clip of Arrow, which will be airing at 8 on Wednesdays before Supernatural. Stay tuned to the Outhouse for more Arrow news and reviews.
Pretty much looks like the "Batman Begins" version of Green Arrown, right down to the filing of the arrows just like the filing of the Batarangs. The shooting the tennis balls with the arrows pretty cool for a training exercise though, I'll give them that. I'll check it out but I don't have high expectations for it.
Woah, woah, woah, Ms. Lippy! The part I didn't like about the story was where the generic model looking dude does the pull up thingy where he swings his entire body back and forth to generate enough inertia to move the pole up notch by notch!
A) It looks retarded and B) it's not impressive in the least -> see every weak ass douche at the gym swinging back and forth trying to do pull ups without anywhere near the strength to do a proper one. Jarring your body weight back and forth like that does absolutely nothing positive for any of your muscles with respect to a pull up or even a chin up. It's the epitome of cheating as far as lifting weights is concerned.
God this looks awful by the way….I'll probably watch it out of sheer longing for Smallville though.

That was an odd sequence. The batarangs were original creations, they had to be built. Ultra sharp arrowheads already exist, though. And you can only file them so sharp before they get too brittle.

Nah, don't forget Brave is coming up, so the recent archery love will continue for a while.
