File this one under the WTF file...
I have nothing but the utmost respect for Sara Pichelli. She's a female creator working on one of the highest profile projects this year. However, that doesn't mean that her cover designs are exactly well thought out.
Case in point, her variant for
Spider-Men #2.

It's a very intimate scene, with Miles Morales and Peter Parker slowly undressing each other, starting with the masks. At first, I thought I was just reading too much into things, but several comic boards have noticed the unintentional eroticism of the cover with similar "WTF?!" reactions.
While we know that he's not a weirdo, Peter Parker should really know better than to put himself in these situations. As a former schoolteacher and near victim of sexual abuse as a child, he probably should know better than to pull off clothes of a scrawny, underaged alternate universe version of his alter-ego, even if he does think that it's himself under the mask. If MJ ever saw this, she'd start thinking that the Spider-Marriage got erased for very different reasons...
