It's That Time of the Month Again - Marvel Making Big Announcement on The View (UPDATE)

Postby LOLtron » Mon May 21, 2012 1:28 pm

It's That Time of the Month Again - Marvel Making Big Announcement on The View (UPDATE)The flow of news is heavy this week, as Marvel will make a huge announcement to the world about Astonishing X-Men #50!

Be sure to sync up your DVRs tomorrow, as the hosts of ABC's The View will be making a major Marvel announcement. We assume the announcment will be regarding gay marriage of character Northstar, which is admittedly not so fresh since everyone already knows about it, but Marvel can't let such things cramp their style when it comes to whoring for mainstream media attention.

Here's the press release:

Marvel Announces Landmark X-Men Story Tomorrow on ABC's The View

Tune into ABC at 11a/10a E/C tomorrow as the hosts of ABC's The View exclusively reveal a major Marvel announcement! This is your first chance to get a look at the moment in Astonishing X-Men #50 that will have everyone talking!

UPDATE: As expected, the announcement was that Northstar, the openly gay X-man, will propose to his boyfriend Kyle in Astonishing X-Men #50, with the marriage to take place in a future issue. This will be the first gay marriage in Marvel Comics, though Archie Comics has already featured a gay wedding. The hosts of The View approved of the story.

You're literally the worst thing to happen to comics since Stan Lee.

What the fuck is Storm wearing on that cover? That's fucking horrible.

Unless that's not Storm, in which case it's just an ugly costume for whomever it is.

Also, I like Northstar, I like his relationship, I think the Alpha Flight mini did a good job showing how much he cares for Kyle, but I have no interest in reading this book or that issue.
