Cheetah to become a major villainous force in 2012 and beyond

DC's Blog, The Source, has announced that Tony S. Daniel will be joining Geoff Johns on a two-issue story beginning with Justice League #13. The plot will (re)introduce legendary Wonder Woman villain, The Cheetah, to the NuDCU as they explore her connection to Wonder Woman and the League itself.

Daniel, a self-proclaimed Justice League fan and a regular reader of the title, is excited for a chance to work again with Geoff Johns.

Johns also spoke to The Source and said:

For me, the Cheetah is up there with Black Manta, Sinestro and Captain Cold as one of the most iconic villains in the DC Universe, and she'll become a major villainous force in 2012 and beyond. The fallout from JUSTICE LEAGUE #12 starts here as we head towards next year's TRINITY WAR."

JUSTICE LEAGUE #13 will be available in stores on October 17th.

They should have given him the writing gig as well.

He can't do much worse than Geoff's work on his book.

Geoff Johns has written good comics before, but Daniel has yet to produce 20 sequential pages worth using my eyes on.

Shouldn't Cheetah have six boobs? Or at least six nipples? I don't even see one!

I dropped Justice League after the last issue, I just finally realized I absolutely didn't care anything about the book, the characters, or the story going on. I am no only reading Batman and Batman & Robin from DC Comics now.

Daniel is a very good artist, but I'm happy to see that's all he's doing. Justice League had a sluggish start but it seems like Johns is getting used to writing these characters as a team. So if this a precursor to a Legion of Doom story that would be pretty awesome.

Cheetah Fun Facts:

The 3rd Cheetah, Barbara Minerva, underwent an ancient ritual that gave her Cheetah-based powers, and later used a potion provided by Circe. This time she actually was a supernatural being.
Cheetah #4 was a male, also transformed via the supernatural.

He wrote them awesome pre infinite crisis and in the jla jsa one shot
This? Wtf... Man... He must know even if it's selling it's not that well thought of
