In lieu of covering the happenings in baseball this week, statnut has given us this in-depth look at one of baseball's greats,
Carlos Beltran.

Be my guest. I need all the volunteers I can get. There are a LOT of sports out there.

Jeez. baseball is so stat heavy -- somebody can't be a good player unless his stats confirm that, and Carlos Beltran can't get into the HOF because his OPS is low. I bet most sport's guys don't even know what an OPS is -- can you imagine Tony Kornheiser explaining a players' OPS?

Writing about the playoffs would have been easy and boring. Both the Phillies and Dodgers won easy in the first round, nothing interesting there. So I went a different route.
