New Punisher Off To Good Start As First Three Issues Delayed

Szymon Kundranski has taken over art duties from Riccardo Burchielli.

Source: Marvel Newsletter

Back in April, Marvel Comics announced a new Punisher series that would bring the character back to the basics, an all-new, all-different idea. The creative team would be wunderkind writer Matt Rosenberg and artist Riccardo Burchielli.

The new series is already off to a good start as Marvel revealed this week that Burchielli would be off the first three issues and will be replaced by Szymon Kundranski. This switcheroo has caused delay ripples down the line. Punisher #1 has been pushed back two weeks to August 22 and Punisher #2 is delayed five weeks to September 26. Punisher #3, which Kudranski was already solicited to draw, has been delayed a full month falling from September 26 to October 24.
