Oops. My bad.

Luckily, there's the other option!

Man-Thing #2 was the best comic I read this week.

Followed by Man-Thing #3.

You can't beat Steve Gerber and Mike Ploog! :-D

Scott Pilgrim: There are no words capable of describing how much I enjoyed this. I've read it twice already. It's the shit.

Prince of Power: Hilarious comic. The CatGod fight had an enjoyable end. I seriously can't believe they used LolCats in Egyptian mythology.

i only read 7 of the books listed, and tbh, none of them really stood out as all that great. but then, none of the other books i read this week did either. OTOH, nothing i bought was bad either, just a whole lot of "good but not great".

so, i guess my picks will be:

1. Other: BOOM!'s The Incredibles #11 -- even with Waid no longer co-writing, this book continues to be loads of fun, capturing the spirit of the movie and nailing all the characters, while continuing to build the mythos as well

2. Zatanna #3 -- Dini and Roux continue to tell solid stories, making Zee likable and relatable while still throwing tons of mystic mumbo-jumbo action at the rader as well

Never done one of these, so hope I don't sink the boat or anything.

OTHER - Power Girl #14: Just an all-around great book that hits all the right notes and feels like exactly what you want from a good comic book.

Zatanna #3: DC has needed a good magic ongoing since then end of Shadowpact and the passing of Steve Gerber prevented a new Dr. Fate series and Zatanna has not failed to impress since it launched.

Two votes for Other this week as I didn't pick up Zatanna yet.

Power Girl #14---Power Girl like I really wanted the book to be from the start---showcasing her as both a person and as a major DCU hero fighting a major bad guy.

JSA #41---Robinson goes back to the book he made---with good dialog and decent action, plus one creepy moment.
Achilles is the kind of evil that hollows out a volcano for a lair, and sends killer robots after his enemies.---Lord Simian

And a bump for the Friday crowd.

So far, we have Zatanna in the lead, with four other books (including Power Girl) tied for second with two votes a piece.

Honestly, none of the books I bought this week were very good. Some were ok. Most were mediocre in a bad way. But none of the others on the list sounded very good this week either. So I voted for Scott Pilgrim because lots of people were excited for its release.

Walking Dead 75: I will probably pick this book every week it comes out. Not every issue is particularly mindblowing, but i'm so invested in the story at this point, and to have a comic still be as great as it is after 75 issues now is quite an accomplishment.

Prince of Power 3: Egyptian LOLCats, nuff said. Oh, and Pak/Van Lente, nuff said twice.
Frank, sometimes I really wish you didn't beat that cancer.

An easy two for me. Scott Pilgrim and GI Joe. What a great week for comics!
