• A new Sandman Mystery Theatre mini-series is in the works.
• Rick Veitch will be doing a monthly called Army @ Love while rapper M.F. Grimm and Ronald Wimberly will be creating Sentences: The Life of M.F. Grimm. Both are under Vertigo.
• The Un-Men will be spinning out of Swamp Thing.
• Brian Wood will be drawing a one-issue story for DMZ #12.
• David Lapham will be releasing Silverfish, a 154-page graphic novel, through Vertigo.
• Cairo will be another new original graphic novel by journalist G. Willow Wilson and M.K. Perker.
• Danny Bilson and Paul DeMeo (The Flash), Adam Brody (yes, the actor from The O.C.), and Jerry Ordway will bring the Red Menace to life. Red Menace is a story about a superhero who is brought before the House Un-American Committee and is blacklisted. It will come out through Wildstorm. It will be a six-issue mini-series and if it does well, possibly an ongoing.Â
• Mike Carey will be doing three projects for Vertigo. He will do God Save The Queen, Faker, and Crossing Midnight. God Save The Queen will be about a teenaged girl who joins a group of slackers and deals with such problems as a battle between two queens and her own coming of age in Neil Gaiman’s world of Faerie. Faker will be about a group of college students who have a crazy night out and when they wake up, they discover there’s an extra one of them. It features art by JOCK. And Crossing Midnight has been described by DC as “Asian horror meets legendary anime director Hayao Miyazaki”. It will feature art by Jim Fern and covers by J.H. Williams III and be an ongoing
• Two other new original graphic novels planned to being released by Vertigo are autobiographical The Alcoholic by Jonathan Ames and Incognegro by Matt Johnson and Warren Pleece about lynching.
