When Captain America throws his mighty shield,
All those at Comic-Com who chose to oppose his shield must yield.

When Captain America throws his mighty shield,
All those who chose to oppose his shield must yield.
If he's led to a fight and a duel is due,
Then the red and white and the blue'll come through
When Captain America throws his mighty shield.

What a weekend it was for comic book fans far and wide.  Not only did Marvel Studio's Captain America: The First Avenger feature film was released to theatres but the San Diego Comic-Con International 2011 was in full swing.

The crew of the Outhouse Pirate Podcast took this all in with fevered gusto.  Listen to everyone review on Captain America, the good, the bad and the cool!  What are the hopes for the Captain in the upcoming Avengers film and, hopefully, a Captain America sequel?  Though warning to all who listen spoilers are abound.  If you have not seen the movie and do not want it ruined, stop reading. Go see it. We'll still be here because the internet is forever, but a good movie is only for a limited engagement.  (Though skip the 3-D it does nothing.)

For the rest of the show the crew attention was targeted the news that came out of Comic-Con.   Was DC Comics the big elephant at the convention center with all their 'all is well' news about the upcoming September rebooting?  Did Marvel Comics bring their A-Game to the biggest comic book convention of the year with their announcements?   How did Image Comics step up to the plate and hit a home run with a new title from a returning creator to comics? Combing all the Outhouse coverage from Marvel, DC, Image and other companies the crew brings to you the most comprehensive coverage on the internet from the big event.

All of this and more on Episode #63 of the Outhouse Pirate Podcast so go give it a listen.

I'll admit, I was a tiny bit disappointed that they didn't use the Cap song in the end credits (like they used the Spider-Man song for Spider-Man 1)... but then I'd liked to have heard it for both Thor and Hulk too.

The 60's theme? I would have liked that too.

Yeah I was referencing the article...
