Batwoman leads another strong showing by DC in this week's Power Poll.
In 2010, a weekly Power Poll was conducted at the Outhouse to determine the top comic of the week. Unfortunately, the Power Poll was abandoned as its creator left for bigger and better things. However, good features rarely die...LOLTron, the robotic caretaker of the front page took the Power Poll's smouldering carcass and rebuilt it, making it faster, stronger and more aware. For several months, the Power Poll lay dormant, building its strength and learning more about the wide world of comic book reviews. Now reborn, the newly created PollTron has come back to the Outhouse, collecting data from reviews spread across a half-dozen different comic book websites. Once a week, PollTron collects this data and aggregates it, assigning scores based on the total number of positive reviews gathered from its ever-growing database of websites. The Power Poll for 9/14/20111) Batwoman #1 - 11.935

Analysis:
Batwoman runs away with this week's Power Poll as DC delivers another strong showing. J.H Williams and Amy Reeder's new series about Gotham's favourite lipstick lesbian resonated strongly with almost every Power Poll Source. Unsurprisingly, the book was held back slightly by a lack of a review by one Outhouse source. However, the book still managed to earn the fifth highest score ever in the Power Poll.
In second place was
Uncanny X-Force, whose score plummeted by four points from last month. Despite the drop, it still polled well enough to beat out all but one of DC's thirteen offerings this week. In third was Brian Bendis and Sara Pichelli's
Ultimate Comics Spider-Man #1. The new Ultimate Spider-Man series benefitted slightly from advance reviews and received generally positively reviews from almost every Power Poll Source.
Rounding out the top five was
Demon Knights and
Green Lantern, two of DC's New 52. Interestingly, this week marks the first time that either Brian Bendis or Geoff Johns has had a book place in the Power Poll, despite their highly regarded reputations at their respective companies. DC won the week with five titles in the top ten. Marvel had three titles and independent publishers had two.
