I can't help but feel like we're tossing out terms like "landmark" rather loosely here.

A character (even a derivative one) having a series go 50 issues is kinda rare these days. There may be a better word, but I think some horn blowing is acceptable on the part of creative/editorial for making it that long.

I agree. They should have either used:

"Senses-Shattering 50th Issue!!"
or
"Collector's Item 50th Issue!"

I may get this for the Brereton art. I'm surprised that Marvel hasn't begged him to do a mini series for Hulk. It seems like a common sense thing to do.

Years later, it still kind of astounds me that the knock-off Hulk essentially took over the classic character's series and namesake. It'd be kind of like if the Eradicator had effectively become Superman. Still, I can't deny that the beast does look good in red.
