I didn't know this was going to be a comedy.
I'm a huge Burton/Depp fan, though. But I was looking forward to this expecting something entirely different... it still looks good, though.

That is what surprised me too but it seemed to work. Also I liked that it stayed in the 70's and not having it take place in 2012.

I was so excited for this............then I watched the trailer and it was all blown to hell.
I hate Tim Burton but I thought he'd do a good job with this. I didnt realize this would be a comedy. I'm no longer interested.
Why do they keep taking classic drama's and making them comedies? Its the same problem I have with 21 Jump Street.

It looks like a fun comedy, but there's no reason to call it Dark Shadows.

The only thing could be a much more serious tone of story and this opening trailer is just to test the waters that it is funny. Or it will be attached to 21 jump street so keeping the tone for the viewers.
