Justice League Movie Poster

It's a fan made fantasy one, but I was wondering what folks thought here would be on it.

I look at it and think it could have some merit, but would it live in the shadow of The Avengers movie? Would it be considered a copycat? Could it work? Would you want to see it?

I think it would live in the shadow of The Avengers movie because of just the simple fact of similarities. Also, yup, the copycat stigma would stand out. It could as long as it has a good or better yet, great script and a proper budget. I would not at all mind seeing it, as like The Avengers movie, it would be a fanboy dream come true for me.

Henry Cavill as the poster lists it.

Yeah, there are other ones out there that are rather nice looking of her. She's not a bad call for the roll in regards to looks.

I think the chick from that awful show "Fairly Legal" would make a good wonderwoman looks wise.

I think they really need an unknown for Wonder Woman. It would help more since then folks are going on like they did with Adrienne Palicki (?).

A modern Lynda Carter with some sports tone on her.

Was that the show with Sarah Shahi?

If that's the chick you're talking about, I agree, and have mentioned that before. But the main problem with Shahi is that she's really kinda short.

And I mean, "short" for Wonder Woman. I don't need WW to be some super tall sasquatch bitch, but she's still gotta be fairly tall. Taller than Shahi. I guess there are ways they could work around that, which they've used for short actors for decades, but still.

Her look is, IMO, perfect for WW. But her stature is not so much.

Would've been funnier if it read Ryan Reynold as both GL and the Flash.

Unfortunately, her most notable role to date was playing the role of Kahlan Amnell on the Legend of the Seeker TV series. However, I would fully support her for the role of Wonder Woman.

Looks cool, I have seen it before. I don't think it would work though mainly because DC has yet with the exception Batman been able to make a successful movie about any of their heroes as single stand alone movies let alone something on the scope of what Marvel did with the Avengers.

Superman Returns was just boring as hell, Green Lantern was one of the worst movies I have ever seen period, WW and Flash are in movie making limbo, Aquaman is probably never gonna get anywhere near being made at this point so no unless something drastically changes with the people in charge of making DC's movies then no this will never work.

I think they should start with the trinity and do a variation of For the Man Who Has Every Thing. I really liked it in JLU and think they could do a good live action version of it. Even have Wonder Woman get the Black Mercy and see what her fantasies are (I would go for a crazy wedding with batman with a massive Justice League in attendance.)

Once you get the big three together in a movie, then it will be easier to do full Justice League movie.

They just really need to get some new people in charge of their movies production though. I mean I haven't even seen anything from Dark Knight Rises or Man of Steel that has made me want to run out a see those movies.

I agree but the problem is that saying 'we need an unknown actress' is basically equivalent to saying, 'there are no women in Hollywood that we know of who would be right for this role so hopefully there's someone who we don't know of.'

Well, there's also the idea that an actor's personality and popularity and surrounding buzz would take attention away from the movie. Remember a few years back when Tom Cruise was jumping up and down on Oprah's couch and shit? It didn't change his abilities as an actor, but there was a lot of buzz surrounding him that studios didn't want to touch at the time. And that even transferred to Katie Holmes. They say that there's no such thing as bad publicity, but when all the buzz is about whether or not your star is insane instead of being about your movie or even his/her role...well.

And there's the idea that the movie might be viewed as a "star vehicle" for a particular actor, based on the roles he/she is best known for. Playing the role might be well within the performer's abilities; even playing it well. But perhaps the audience has a particular expectation of a performer. Like, if you cast Jason Statham in a movie, people are gonna expect him to fall out of a plane and start karate-fighting people the moment he lands...even if the movie is supposed to be a true story based on a bank heist which has practically zero karate-fighting in it.

The performer might be the best one for the role, but maybe the perception surrounding him or her governs public expectations too much.
