So we were hanging out with our San Francisco friends Mike and Sarah, but Mike's got work in the morning and so Sarah is driving him home and then coming back. We are halfway through Watchmen, which, fuck you losers, is a great adaptation. We are out of wine, and these women don't like taking shots, and I have no beer, but I did have a Four Loco in the fridge, which I am drinking now.

Yeah, that's pretty much the point of this thread, comment as you wish, fat jokes welcome.

I haven't had it since they weakened it, but when it was still the strong stuff, I drank two Four Lokos and a 24 ounce can of Hurricane. I was FUCKED up. I was by myself at my house. I woke up the next morning and had no recollection of what I did, when I went to bed, what time I went to bed, or anything. I went into my kitchen and saw that I had been on the internet, and I got super scared. I was afraid I'd bought a ton of shit or posted crazy comments online (which I did).

Don't you live in PA? The state liquor control board there sent letters or agents to every store in PA and asked them implicitly not to stock it, and most of them got the message of what was implied could happen if they refused. Additionally, Pennsylvania State Representative Vanessa Lowery Brown is going to introduce legislation soon to ban all canned alcoholic energy drinks from being sold in PA.

But, as someone said, the Four Lokos being sold now are just a goofy, gross-tasting malt beverage that trades on the name of its notorious predecessor, which contained more ingredients and caffeine. Nasty sugary malt beverages are certainly nothing new, I'm just surprised anyone old enough to buy their own booze would opt for one (more than once).

Yea I dont care enough to follow that kinda news. I went into the two stores and it wasnt there. I just wanted to try it. Dont really care anymore. I'll just have a beer.

You asked, I answered.

I have to pay slightly more attention to such things, it was a bit of a hubbub here in a neighboring state when they pulled it all off the shelves. The last week before it was illegal to distribute the original FL, you would see truck after truck unloading cases of them to retailers before it was too late to sell them out.

And anyway, what is sold as FL today is just a malt beverage. You aren't missing anything.
