Does anyone get the impression that Scarlet Witch will end up being the host of the Phoenix instead of Hope? I theorize that while the Avengers and the X-Men are so busy chasing down Hope, Wanda will end up taking on the Phoenix and end up being possessed by it. After that, I believe that Wanda will end up sacrificing herself like Jean did in the original Phoenix saga and Cyclops will end up being another douche like Tony Stark was during Civil War. I could be wrong but I am guessing that this is where this soap-opera smackfest will end going for the most part.

god i hope not... they finally got around to fixing Wanda after Disassembled and allowing her back on the playing field, so for her to magically get the phoenix (even though she's NEVER shown any connection to it ever) would be so far out of left field i'd probably stop reading marvel comics.

I don't know that it's out of left field. She was the host of something they dubbed "the creation force" which is how she was so powerful ... but I do agree, they JUST got her back in the comics after many years of random scattered appearances.
There's way more interesting stories to tell with her now, hell, her road to recovery is probably the most interesting story not yet being told in comics.

Spending so much time keeping her off the table, and even once the process began, to wait for the story to play out in Young Avengers..
All that time and effort to fix her..
It would make no sense for it to be a waste.

Good point. However, due to how crucial her part is indicated in the current saga, I theorize she either ends up being possessed by the Phoenix force or fighting it to save Earth.

Agreed. However, I do get the indication that Wanda is going to have something directly to do with the Phoenix either taking it on or perhaps taking it out. Perhaps she might even help bring Jean Grey back or restore the mutant race by chance.

i can see her being crucial to stopping the phoenix, but i don't see her becoming the host. As has been said they spent so much time taking her off the field after Disassembled, to bring her back only to kill her again would be pretty stupid. But if she was the one who stopped the Phoenix Force i could see it doing a lot to "redeem" her.

Hopefully this is the direction where it will head. I do agree killing her off would be dumb.

Scarlet Witch bringing Jean Grey back to life or stopping the Phoenix Force (possibly for good) would be an interesting way to get the hero and mutant community to at least re-embrace her, if not forgive her.
Don't know if that's the root they'll go, but it does seem like she's going to play an important role in this story at some point.

I don't know what role she'll play, but she will play a large role. It's just too conspicuous that she was given a spotlight in Avengers vs. X-Men #0 and hasn't been seen since ...

She did appear in shadow in #2.
And they show her diary, which is just a drawing of the Phoenix and the writing "This is how the world ends" under it.

Benderbrau: Greg: Unwrapping the riddles of the black man since 2006
Starlord: I swear if you were gay and I wasn't married we'd make the perfect fuck buddies.
Greg: I'd do many things. Coke is not one of them.
Benderbrau: Greg hates all things white.
Benderbrau: Emma, you could learn a thing or two from Greg. Greg does threesomes. That's bi done right.
