DC Purchases Commercial Time to Taunt Alan Moore

Postby LOLtron » Fri Jun 01, 2012 6:58 pm

DC Purchases Commercial Time to Taunt Alan MooreDC is planning a new commercial featuring artwork from the upcoming Before Watchmen prequel comics.

As part of DC's ongoing war on Alan Moore's sanity, the company has been pulling out all the stops to publicize their raping of Alan Moore's seminal work, Watchmen, with the Before Watchmen preview comics. The next battle will be fought on the stage of television, with what is being called a "dynamic commercial" featuring artwork from the "highly anticipated" prequels. The commercial will begin airing next week.

Asked for comment on this development, Alan Moore's beard told The Outhouse that Moore does not own a television, and prefers to follow news "on his crystal ball." The renowned creator will, however, be preparing a tin-foil hat in case DC plans to beam the images directly into his mind.

DC's glorious leader Dan Didio was more reluctant to comment for fear of revealing his strategy too soon, and would only tell us, "How poor are they that have not patience! What wound did ever heal but by degrees? Thou know'st we work by wit, and not by witchcraft; And wit depends on dilatory time."

You can check out a slideshow of art from the commercial at Fast Company

You'd think with the crystal ball, wizardry, and mystic beard, Moore would have seen this coming.

Maybe he used his dark magic to make DC Comics the state they are now?

Why not? It worked on Rob Liefeld.

You guys think Alan Moore has a TV? C'mon, the guy hates cameras (except when they are filming him).

Higher sales and more readers seems more like it was Didio that made a Satanic Pact

Well, he tried to make a Satanic pact with Moore himself, but his wizardness wasn't buying.
