Preview: It's Raining Spider-Men! Hallelujah, It's Raining Spider-Men!Spider-Man may not be gay, but don't let that stop you from checking out this preview of Spider-Men #2!

Marvel Comics is really slacking in the war currently raging in the comic book industry to prove which company is the gayest. Though Marvel came out of the closet running with it's hype for a gay wedding in Astonishing X-Men #51, it seems that it is losing ground to DC as the Distinguished Competition revealed this morning that their hunky, prominent gay character is Alan Scott, the original Green Lantern. A Marvel Comics event where there are multiple Spider-Men seems like the perfect place for Marvel to strike back, but alas the sexuality of all Spider-Men remains depressingly unchanged, and readers will have to settle for this straight preview of Spider-Men #2.

Your First Look at SPIDER-MEN #2!

Marvel is proud to present your first look at Spider-Men #2, by the chart-topping creative team of writer Brian Michael Bendis and artist Sara Pichelli! When Peter Parker is thrown into Miles Morales' world, the duo begin a journey that will not only answer questions about their own identities, but also reveal the truth about a major character in the world of Spider-Man! Kick off Spider-Man's 50th anniversary in style with double the web-slinging action in Spider-Men #2, hitting comic shops, the Marvel Comics app and the Marvel Digital Comics Shop this June.

After looking at some of those "web" shots, perhaps I spoke too soon.

Obviously, you're some skinny, single nerd living on the East Coast who probably derives value in life from wrestling matches, hoping that Wolverine gets to sleep with teenagers and engaging in casual drug use. You're literally the worst thing to happen to comics since Stan Lee.

And Miles doing the "gay gasp", followed by spider-spray to his face

The first panel on the last page is pretty gay.

Would be even gayer if the web-fluid was dripping off of Miles' face
