He did say that the new series -- which, like "Sweet Tooth," he will both write and draw -- would launch in 2012 and feature new themes and ideas he hasn't explored.

His reinvention of Kid Eternity is coming up too. I'm on the fence about it, to be honest, but it's hard to say from the early info.

I'm sure Lemire is a capable writer, but Sweet Tooth has bored the hell out of me.

I dunno, you seem pretty enamored of Lemire so maybe you'll find Eternity less disappointing. All I can say is, it reads exactly like a pitch for a TV show composed entirely of television-y cliches you've seen a million times, from the dialogue to the token grumpy police chief (who seems to not know the difference between a beat cop and a medical examiner) to the disappointing 'twist' anyone with an IQ over single digits will have seen coming from miles away.
