Umm, just as a bit of a sidenote: I'm taking a few weeks off from article writing (starting to burn out). I should be back by mid-September. The other op/ed guys will still be doing their thing (I hope).

I've been pretty damn busy setting up the English & Drama Students Society @ UTM with my friends WHO I TALK TO BECAUSE I'M NOT SOCIAL AWKWARD AND WEAR EARPLUGS AT CONCERTS THAT I GOT TO WITH MY DAD LEWSER!!!

Now throw that article in the garbage and go get drunk with some 14-year old girls.

Excellent second part, Keb. In fact, after reading it, I just ordered volume 1 of Swamp Thing. I found the Earth/water aspect of the article to be very intriguing. Well done.

Thanks for the read. I'll say that the veggie sex doesn't come in til volume 2, but the first volume's still really good. There are some great stories in that one.

another good article. liked the connection between the two issues. Alan Moore, for being such an enlightened guy, sure likes his sex. And I think that's the point, right? Moore sees sex as knowledge, that great forbidden act that takes our consciousness to another plane, or at least briefly (in my case) connects to a greater Knowledge of Self. Exploring that capital K Knowledge is what Promethea is all about, especially its incredibly touching finale, or "climax."

Isn't "Knowledge" supposed to be "Da'ath" or the abyss on the Kabbalah? But yeah, there's a huge emphasis on the climax and the one-ness of the climax. I liked the end of Promethea (and Tom Strong too, I guess) and that final one-ness.

Knowledge, hmmm...the magician penetrates the mystery to gain knowledge, but in doing so becomes the mystery/knowledge...it kind of has an ouroboros effect.
