The scene above is of the stands Auburn's Jordan-Hare stadium during the halftime of the Tigers' loss to 63-21 loss to Texas A&M. And no, fans didn't just step out to go the the restroom. They were gone at halftime and stayed gone. It was the most scathing indictment to date of embattled Auburn head football coach Gene Chizik, who is now 1-7 (0-6 in SEC play) in 2012.
Texas A&M, led by starting quarterback Johnny Manziel were already up 42-7 at the end of the first half. If Aggie head football coach Kevin Sumlin hadn't sat Manziel and the rest of his starters down in the third quarter, it could have gotten much worse.
The walkout by the Auburn faithful pretty much seals the fate of Chizik. There's very little chance he will continue in his HC job after the end of the 2012 season. Even beating Alabama in the Iron Bowl might not be able to save him now.
