Alabama center Barrett Jones discusses sprained foot injury.

Alabama center Barrett Jones sprained his left foot during the Crimson Tide's SEC championship game victory over Georgia on Dec. 1. As his foot is in a cast, he won't be able to participate in team practices for the Tide's BCS title game showdown against Notre Dame on Jan. 7, 2013.

Jones spoke to the media about the injury on Tuesday.

When he arrived in the media room, on crutches, he took a seat and didn't even wait for a question.

"All right," Jones said. "Sprained foot. Gonna be fine. Can’t wait to play. That's that."
One-hundred percent sure?

"Yes."

J ones injured the foot during the Tide's 32-28 victory over Georgia on Dec. 1 in the SEC Championship Game.

When?

"First quarter," Jones said.

What happened?

"I don’t really know," Jones said.

Jones is currently restricted to riding a stationary bike during practice until the 26th.
