A.J. McCarron bruised his foot in fall practice.

While news of South Carolina defensive end Jadeveon Clowney's shoulder injury and the ongoing did-he-or-didn't-he controversy involving Texas A&M starting quarterback Johnny Manziel got the most attention in the SEC Universe in recent days, an injury to a notable player went all but unnoticed. Alabama starting A.J. McCarron reportedly suffered a bruised foot during fall practice in Tuscaloosa.

McCarron briefly spoke to reporters about the incident on Monday.

"It's great," McCarron said.

How did it happen?

"It got stepped on."

Does he know who did it?

Well that settles things, doesn't it?

Reports from claim that McCarron's foot didn't seem to bother him during practice on Monday. This may turn out to be much ado about nothing, but it will be something to watch as the Crimson Tide's fall practice camp continues.

No news if Katherine Webb kissed McCarron's boo-boo to make it better. Or his foot, for that matter.
