Johnny Manziel conspicuously absent from ESPN college football promo.

ESPN has released a 0:31 second promo it calls its "2013 ESPN College Football Kickoff Anthem." Thankfully, it's an anthem that doesn't feature Kenny Chesney, but I digress. The clip features Alabama head football coach Nick Saban, and Notre Dame HC Brian Kelly, along with Heisman Trophy candidate quarterbacks Aaron Murray of Alabama, and Aaron Murray of Georgia.

Conspicuous by his absence is 2012 Heisman winner Johnny Manziel. Not a shock, as Manziel is embroiled in a controversy over whether he took money to autograph sports memorabilia. A controversy that ESPN has been responsible for putting in the public eye in the first place.
