"Jeremy Hill is going to sustain discipline," Miles said. "We said earlier that ... he would be withheld from play. That's going to take place. Our discipline will be internal at this point, and I don't think we have much further to say."
Asked whether Hill would travel to Dallas for No. 12 LSU's matchup with the 20th-ranked Horned Frogs, Miles remained vague.
"We're not going to comment on that at this point, but I wouldn't be surprised that he would be on our trip," the coach said."
Hill has had some notable run-ins with law. The most recent resulting from an incident in the spring where Hill reportedly "sucker-punched" another person at a bar in Baton Rouge. Hill plead guilty to a misdemeanor battery charge in July.
Miles' decision of whether or not Hill plays on Aug. 31. has the potential to place the LSU program in a bad light. The possibility of Hill playing on Saturday could result in heavy criticize in the media and critics of college football.
