Alabama running back T.J. Yeldon has issued a written apology for his combination of mocking Texas A&M quarterback Johnny Manziel's infamous "money" gesture with a classic throat slash during The Crimson Tide's win over Texas A&M on Saturday.
Yeldon's actions on Saturday resulted in an unsportsmanlike penalty."I want to apologize to everyone for my selfish actions on Saturday," Yeldon said in the release. "That is not the way I want to represent myself, my family and our team.
"That is not the way we do things at Alabama. This is something that I will learn from, and I will use better judgment in the future."
Alabama head football coach Nick Saban expressed his displeasure with Yeldon's actions, which he described as being "not us" and "not our program."
