It seems the dancing bug has hit college football in Alabama with full force. First Alabama head football coach Nick Saban was captured on camera doing the Electric Slide. Now Auburn head coach
and members of his staff reportedly shared the dance floor with Alabama defensive coordinator Kirby Smart and members of the Crimson Tide coaching staff. Both staffs were on hand for the 80th birthday party of the grandfather of a highly sought-after 5-star recruit.
Auburn High School senior outside linebacker Rashaan Evans has been a target for both Alabama and Auburn. Malzahn and Smart, along with coaching staff members from both school spent the final day of NCAA permitted contact with recruits before National Signing Day attending the birthday party of Evans' 80-year old grandfather at an area hotel. The party had a live band, and coaches from both staffs reportedly hit the dance floor to show off their moves.
Evans' father Arthur Evans described to al.com what went down.
"When we got to the party about eight o'clock it was a packed house at the hotel," Evans told AL.com. "We walked in and the first people we saw was the entire Auburn staff standing there on our left and to my right was Kirby Smart and the Bama staff. I was like 'This has never happened in Auburn before and probably never will again.'"As we went in, we were pulled left and right all night from Auburn to Bama. The coaches shook hands and talked but you could tell they were there for one thing and one thing only. Then the live band started playing and the Alabama and Auburn coaches hit the dance floor. It was unbelievable. I just couldn't stop laughing."
