LSU head coach Les Miles isn't too happy with the SEC's decision to remain with a eight-game conference schedule, preserving its cross division rivalries, and requiring member schools to play a "quality" non-conference opponent every season.
“We play the toughest schedule in America in our conference, and then we have the bias of the permanent partner,” Miles told The Advocate on Monday while speaking at the Hilton Baton Rouge Capitol Center. “We’re now also being mandated to take a BCS team. The bias of the schedule continues to be disproportionate. Fundamentally fair is not something they’ve given great thought to.”

LSU athletic director Joe Aleva also commented on the alleged lack of fairness in regular-season conference scheduling.
"Since 2000 LSU has played Florida and Georgia 19 times and Alabama has played them eight times. That is a competitive disadvantage. There are a lot of other examples."

For the record, LSU has played permanent cross-division rival Florida 14 times since 2000. The Tigers have played Georgia five times in regular season games, along with three SEC championship games. Alabama has played Georgia and Florida four times each in the regular season. It's also faced the Gators twice and Georgia once in the SEC championship game.
