Steve Sarkisian has apologized for embarrassing USC in a way Lane Kiffin never did. The Trojans' head coach reportedly appeared drunk and used inappropriate language at the school's "Salute toTroy" event on Saturday night, and used.

In his apology, Sarkisian apologized to his team and his staff at USC.
“I sincerely apologize to my players and staff and to our fans for my behavior and my inappropriate language at our kickoff event Saturday night. I have a responsibility to all of them and I let them down. Pat Haden talked to me after the event about my actions and I assured him this will not happen again.”
USC athletic director also released a statement regarding the incident.
“I met with Coach Sarkisian and I expressed my disappointment in the way he represented himself and the University at our Salute To Troy event. While the details of our conversation will remain between us, I am confident he heard my message loud and clear.”

Among other remarks, Sarkisian is alleged to have made disparaging remarks to other PAC-12 schools, claiming "they all suck!"

Sarkisian is heading into his second season as head coach of USC, he went 9-4 in 2014.
