Steam Greenlight was launched a few weeks ago and a week ago, ten games made it through the first selection process.  (Black Mesa, Cry of Fear, Dream, Heroes & Generals, Kenshi, McPixel, No More Room in Hell, Project Zomboid, Routine, and Towns.) Black Mesa, a rebuild of Half-Life has received the most attention out of the batch so far.  The games are due to land in the Steam shop over the next few months.

According to a tweet today by a developer, the next batch of ten games will be selected on October 15th:

Steam is a new system put in place where players get to select the games to be released, instead of a small party of employees at a publisher.  Developers post info, screenshots and more about their games and Steam members vote on what they want to see most.

If you're a Steam member, check out their site to participate in the selection process.
