Now the votes have been counted and processed to their fullest extent. I want to thank all those who voted for these moments which must have been a painful choice given the pool this year was vast with epic moments.
Coming in fourth place with 17 votes was a moment that surprised me that got so many due to the fact it was A.) one of the very first winners of 2013 and B.) not much a series that many talked about after the series just ended quite recently. What moment? Why it was: "I have NO POWERS and not nearly enough training. But I'm doing this anyway. Being a superhero is AMAZING. Everyone should TRY IT." - Young Avengers #1
In the end, it was a two-horse race though near the last two weeks, the Death of Damian Wayne - Batman Inc #8 slowly crawled close to the top two and ended up with a total of 18 votes. A good try, but really even I knew this year would come down to two moments and they were EXACTLY the ones I knew would get the most votes.
Your runner-up coming in second place: Alfred beats the ever living crap out of Superman. - Injustice: Gods Among Us #36. At first when the poll started this moment dominated. Then a few days passed and the WINNER of 2013 eclipsed and outgained our runner-up which ended up with 22 votes. In all honesty, I would have pegged this one was going to win.
The winner and Moment of the Year 2013 is... Hmm you know this needs some sort of drum roll. Ah here's one!!!
Thor, the negotiator!- Infinity #4
It seems fans have a weakness for Thor doing anything bad ass and in Infinity #4, he gives us a whopper. So congrats to the creators on the book for providing fans with THE MOMENT of 2013.
