Check out this image from one of CBR's fancy exclusive previews of Age of Ultron, next year's super-mega-event that will change the Marvel Universe forever. The image shows a wall of polaroid photos of Marvel Universe characters, and among them is Rom the Space Knight, who has not been able to appear explicitly in Marvel Comics due to licensing issues for even longer than it's been since people used polaroid photos.

Does this image signal the settling of those issues and the return of Rom to the Marvel Universe? Maybe, but the image also shows Professor Xavier alive, Scott Summers as a non-killer, and two Deadpools, so it could just be a red herring, like communism.

In any case, rumors are already swirling that Marvel will replace Rom with Batgirl Barbara Gordon before the issue sees print.

Rom fans should take this return rumor with a grain of salt, but it is more hope than they've had in a long time, which is, when you think about it, pretty sad.
