Cyber Monday Digital Comics Sales - Not Just for Sentient Robots Anymore

Help the economy and destroy the direct market at the same time by buying digital comics on sale!
For years, this reporter has locked his doors and hid under his bed the Monday after Thanksgiving. Sure, we know, rationally, that the term "Cyber Monday" refers to amazing sales and great bargains available online, and, in fact, has absolutely nothing to do with the Robotpocalypse, but let's face it - if the machines are going to rise up and take over the world (and they will... oh, they will), Cyber Monday would be the perfect day for them to do it.
This year, things are different. Why? Because it turns out that Cyber Monday is a great day to get a great deal on digital comics.
Comixology, for instance, is having a sale on Avengers books. A 99 cent sale, to be precise. You can get every issue of "The Great One" Brian Bendis' Avengers (Vol. 4) and New Avengers for just $.99 each! Every issue of Secret Avengers and Avengers Academy is available as well. Click here for details.
There are some IDW comics going at half price on Comixology too, which, in the case of most single issues, also comes out to $.99 each. Magic: The Gathering, Kiss, Ghostbusters, The Last Unicorn, and classic issues of Transformers and Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles are all represented at the sale. Click here.
Also at Comixology, you can save up to 80% on collected edition of Dynamite books. There's some interesting stuff in there, like a timely comic book adaptation of the movie The Warriors. Click here to check it out.
As if Comixology's sales weren't enough, Dark Horse has its very own digital store, shopping at which is like being a part of a very cool exclusive club, if that very cool exclusive club consisted of a subset of members of another exclusive club, comic book readers, which was totally dorky. Dark Horse is offering 50% off of your entire purchase on their digital store when you use the code "dhdcyber" at checkout. Your order must be more than $15 to qualify. Click here to visit the Dark Horse store, where anything you purchase is also available on your Android or iOS device.
Since Dark Horse comics generally go for $1.99 on their store, that means that this is another opportunity to pick up digital comics for $.99 a piece. We are fairly certain that when the Robotpocalypse finally occurs, there will be killer flying robots incinerating people with death rays while shouting "99999999999999999!!!!111000111" We will be totally peeing our pants.
Not to be outdone, BOOM! Studios is offering a 25% discount on all of their physical comics at the BOOM! online store. Oh wait, that's 25% less of a discount than Dark Horse. Maybe they are to be outdone. Then again, BOOM! is offering free shipping, and these are "real" comics, for all of you dinosaurs that don't do everything on a tablet or smartphone. Click here to visit BOOM!'s store.
So hurry up and get to spending, consumers! This economy isn't going to recover itself!
