Comics professionals have been seeking magickal powers since Watchmen creator Alan Moore defeated dark wizard Gellert Grindelwald in a duel in 1945. However, it wasn't until today that one of them finally discovered the holy grail of occult wisdom - the secret of eternal life. Stan Lee, grandfather of Marvel Comics and creator of such memorable properties as Stripperella and The Guardian Project, celebrated his 65th wedding anniversary today with the following tweet:
Dec 5th 1947, I married Joanie, the love of my life. 65 years together and we never had a fight. She's just had a long series of victories! — stan lee (@TheRealStanLee) December 13, 2012
Fabian Nicieza, writer of DC Comics' Batwing and winner of an Eisner Award for "most unpronounceable name," responded to Lee's tweet with a shocking revelation:
@therealstanlee congrats and here's to 65 more! — Fabian Nicieza (@FabianNicieza) December 13, 2012
It is unknown what bizzare and possibly obscene rites Nicieza has perfected in order to achieve immortality, but at least he is kind enough to share with the 89 year old Lee, who Nicieza has officially confirmed will live to be at least 154 years old, when he will celebrate his 130th wedding anniversary.
The Outhouse also congratulates Stan Lee on his 65th anniversary, and hopes that he enjoys his new life as a timeless immortal.
