The times are a changing. For over twenty years, Bruce Timm has been one of the guiding forces behind the DC Animated program (with countless animated movies and television shows, of course, the most notable being Batman: The Animated Series). Voices from Krypton are reporting this and the reasons as to why he's make this descion: to focus on his own creative projects.
James Tucker, one of the creative minds behind Legion of Superheroes and Batman: The Brave and the Bold will be taking Timm's role. The first animated movie that'll be under his wing will be Superman: Unbound with Justice League: The Flashpoint Paradox (an adaptation of the Flash centric story that rebooted the DCU into the "new 52") being the next animated movie project on his plate.
Regardless, one has to tip the hat to Mr. Timm for the legacy and impact he's had on the industry when he was apart of the animated series that started it all, Batman.
